Higher demand for dollar this week

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Demand for the dollar went up during the central bank of Iraq (CBI) auctions this week to register $585.423 million at a stable exchange rate of 1,170 Iraqi dinars per dollar for the sixth week in a row.

The CBI dollar sales this week hit $585.423 million compared to last week’s $548.720 million, including $163.610 million in cash and $421.813 million in foreign transfers.

The central bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday.
